Victorian Day
To enhance pupil understanding of the Victorian period and to aid them in understanding what life as a Victorian child would be like, we held a Victorian day. The children got to experience school lessons and atmosphere. We recited multiplication facts for the 2 times table, we completed Bible study, practised our handwriting in our copy books and recited some of the teacher’s favourite poetry. We also got to go to an upper class ball. The children were so excited to compare these experiences to their own life.
