Reading

When learning about the artist Paul Klee, we have been using the book ‘13 Artist Children should know,’ to help them learn about the artist and the art work that he produced, we also thought about what art techniques Klee has used. Below are examples of our research.

We have been learning to draw ways of recording feelings or experiences using dots and line technique. Focusing on our artist Paul Klee, we looked at how he came up with the saying ‘a line is a dot that went for a walk.’

In pairs we read about how Paul Klee uses lines and dot techniques in his artwork, we also looked at how Klee has used different lines to present different feelings. We then had a go at drawing different feelings and experiences using lines and dots.
