Knitting

Chistmas Market Knitting - December 2024

Our Children at knitting club have knitted items to sell at our Christmas Market.  They worked very hard and the photo shows a selection of what they created.

Knitting Club runs after school each Tuesday evening. 

 

A group of children from Y4, Y5 and Y6 are learning the skill of knitting as well as helping our local community.  Knitting is a valuable skill which will enable the children to create their own items even into adulthood.

 

Items we are currently knitting include:

 

     For dementia patients:

  • 'Twiddle Muff' 
  • 'Twiddle Blanket - knit as individual squares' - children working together to create a finished blanket complete with decorations

 

      For the premature baby unit:

  •   Baby Blanket - knit as individual squares and joined together
  •   Octopus
  •   Cardigan
  •   Hat
  •   Booties
