Year 1
Lottie's mum came to talk to us about being a Nurse and what she does in her job. She talked to us about the parts of the body and our bones. We asked her lots of questions.
We talked about what we would like to be when we grow up.
Year 2
Lucas’s Mum - Teacher and Assessor
We had a visit from Lucas's mum who is a Teacher and a Assessor.
She taught us about what her job is, how she helps young people in college and helps them learn how to prepare to work in schools and nurseries.
We also took part in dough disco!
Michael - Builder
We had a visit from Lucas's stepdad who is a Builder, he builds houses.
Micheal told us about his job and how he constructs different things, we also had the opportunity to ask him questions about his tools and his job. We also had the experience of being a builder by hammering some nails into some pieces of wood and we also drilled some screws into pieces of wood.

Michael first quizzed our knowledge around tools. We worked in pairs/groups to name the different tools, which he carries in his tool box.
We also got to look and hold the items that we identified on the toolbox sheet.
We also had the experience of being a builder by hammering some nails into some piece of wood.
We also experienced using a drill.
Some of us are considering being construction workers now.
