Leading Teams
Within Year 6 we have been learning about the King, Alfred The Great.
The children have learnt about his story and famous battle with the Vikings and their leader, Guthrum
We worked in teams to act out certain parts of the story.
The children have also been leading teams when taking part in striking and fielding lessons. The children are developing their knowledge how teamwork can be used when fielding of batting in pairs or small groups.
We are learning the importance of communication and that mistakes sometimes happen in sports so encouragement is also needed.
