Knowledge Intention - to listen attentively and think about music.
The children were listening to the Alton Towers theme tune. They were responding to it by moving their bodies.

Knowledge intention - Tapping out simple rhythms.
The children used the instrument to sing their favourite nursery rhymes in time. We introduced the word beat and rhythm. We also talked about what we were doing to the instruments to make them play.

The children listened to the new Beatles song Then and Now. We talked about it after it had finished.
