Year 6
In Year 6 science, the children have been learning about light. In order to link into this during our Science week the children were given the chance to make their own working periscopes. The children were shown how periscopes can reflect light in order to allow a viewer to see above their direct line of sight. Each student was then given a box and two mirrors and had to construct their periscope themselves, before then being able to try them out and see how well they worked!
During science week the children learnt how we can be more eco - friendly.
We learnt lots of interesting statistics about the world around us and held a class debate discussing what needed to be done in order to slow the temperature, of the world heating up, down.
