We started our DT unit by investigating how to make a free-standing structure. We tried using different shapes and structural reinforcements to stiffen the structure. The children chose which construction materials they warned to use.
“The wide base make the structure stronger.” PE
”When there are less joins in the shape, it seem stronger.” NS
