For this half terms Internet Safety focus, we looked at the are Online Bullying.
We started off by looking at other ways this could happen. We knew that we can see online bullying happen by comments and messages but we looked at other ways. We worked together as a class through this.
We also focussed on how an image is more memorable that words. We saw how it’s far easier to remember a picture rather than words and this is why pictures can be just as hurtful as words.
We were then introduced to Alan the Alien. He was new to the planet and didn’t know how to act online with other people.
We studied what he had done wrong and how the people involved would feel and then wrote a letter to Alan independently to help with how he should act online.
