Real Life
We used dictionaries to find the definitions of the names that the siblings were given after they became kings and queens at the end of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We also used a thesaurus to find synonyms of that word.
“Lucy the Valiant - this meant she was brave and courageous” - Zoe
”Edmund the Just - just meant that he became fair with his judgement” - Meira
After studying different fairy tales, we then used speech bubbles to help us with creating direct speech. We picked something that the character would say in their fairy tale and wrote this in the speech bubble. We then knew that what was in the speech bubble was the bit that needed to be in the speech marks.
