This week we talked about our responsibility to reuse things and repair them.
We can take the opportunity to learn new skills by asking people to help us repair things so that we can do it by ourselves next time. Some times people can more cheaply replace items rather than repairing them, but in that case we should re-gift the items to someone else.
It is our individual responsibility to share knowledge with others and look after our planet for future generations.
We discussed a trial in Germany where residents can hire bikes for a very small fee. We thought this was very good because it allowed everybody the opportunity to access transport and get to places they wanted to on their own. It also allowed people who care about the world to have a mode of transport that did not negatively impact the environment.
