Summer 2 - Week 1
For our Landscape work in Art, we linked it to our Geography work looking closely at an erupting volcano. We studied closely the bright colours of the lava and the contrast of the dark volcano to highlight these colours.
We had a choice of different painting techniques to create the lava eruption.
We used the splatter technique, blowing technique or dribble technique to show off the movement in which the lava flows.
We also used scissors to score a design into our volcanoes to show off the texture of what the volcano would look like in real life.
