Music
This half term the children have been learning the song 'Hickory Dickory Dock'. We innovated our own rhyme using different animals and actions. We have been using glockenspiels to accompany our singing.
Computing
This half term we have been learning how to use a mouse as well as the various tools on the 'Paintz' app. We enjoyed choosing which tools to use to create our own pictures.
Bonfire Night
As part of our learning about Bonfire Night, Year 1 created firework artwork using chalk. The children enjoyed looking at photos of fireworks and choosing how to draw these.
Art
We enjoyed creating our Christmas calendars inspired by our work on Piet Mondrian. We could only use three primary colours and had to be careful that we did not put the same colour next to one another. We were very proud of our creations.
