Choice
Year 3 have been working hard to write their own version of 'The Iron Man' (chapter 1). We have chosen our own setting and included both speech and a subordinate clause.
Within Year 6 we have created our own chapters for the Wizard of Oz. We have invented our own characters with a particular need then basing our chapters on their own character meeting the rest of the party.
Some examples of our work include:
“I was the pet of the wicked witch but she was mean and was hurting the Munchkins,” said the cat in a whisper.

“Well it’s, its, Eliza,” she explained.

The girl had messy hair in a plait and blood red eyes that glimmered in the night.

After the group got some well deserved rest in the dark gloomy woods, they set off once again but after a while, Dorothy began to feel hungry. She reached into her basket to find she had no food left.
