DT - Making water wheels like Richard Arkwright
We have been learning about how water wheels were used in mills and across Lancashire. We designed our own in our books and then used household resources to create a quick prototype of a functioning water wheel.
Geography - using digital maps and atlases to locate
We used maps, atlases and digital mapping to remind ourselves of the continents and oceans. We used digital mapping to help us to locate some tropical rainforests of the world and realised they fell between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. We found the equator in between these two lines.
