Today, Year 6 have celebrated Internet Safety Day. We started the session off with a quiz which revolved around a range of scenarios which may happen to us when we are online. We had multiple choice answers in which to decide what to do in each scenario.
The next task was to read a range of situations and decide which of the following best suited that particular situation.
The options included:
Sounds too good to be true.
Contact you did not expect.
Asking for personal information
Money or trade is asked for.
Not a scam.
Next, we focused on the aspect of ‘Phishing.’ We looked at this word and how people or companies could 'hook' you in to gain your details or even money.
We created posters on how to be aware of these things and helpful information using Microsoft Word.
