We have been learning about real life when studying the life of Alfred The Great and the reasons as he was a successful king. We read and listened to his story together and then acted parts of the story out in small groups. We then made our own storyboards linked to his life and his achievements. Alfred was seen as weak however he was very clever and successfully defended his country against the Vikings. Have a look at our work.
We have been leading teams when researching the reasons as to why the Viking and Saxons invaded England. We worked together and used websites to gather information before presenting this in a comparison table. These reasons gave us an insight into the characteristics of the two groups of people.
