These are called scams. 
To remember what a scam is we learnt that;

Contact you did not expect.

Asking for personal information

Money or trade is asked for.

 

 

Protecting ourself online

We analysed a profile to identify some things that could be improved to make the profile safer. 

A scam or not?

To test our knowledge we sorted scenarios based on whether we thought it was a scam or not. 
 

We also learnt that companies and scammers use certain techniques to grab your attention and hook you in. This is called ‘phishing’ because it hooks you into their scam. Remember to think “Is this too good to be true…?”

Part of being safe online is to protect your accounts. We played a dice game to generate a safe password. Here are some we came up with;
