11.3.24 Should phones be allowed in the classroom?
We split the class into two groups: those who thought it was beneficial to have phones in the classroom and those against the idea. We had a 12-minute debate and videoed it.
"I enjoyed this debate because we got to argue about our opinions. I think children should be allowed phones but not in the classroom because you really don't need it. You have everything you need in the classroom and phones will distract you easily." Pupil 1
"I think you shouldn't phones in class because they make noise and distract everyone." Pupil 2
"I think we should be allowed phones but not in the classroom because if you were walking home by yourself you could call for help but you don't need it in the classroom." Pupil 3
