Roman Day
Shield Workshop
After looking at what Roman shields were used for, the children had a god at making their own and creating Roman Army formations. The children were able to look at a real life Roman Shield and use this for inspiration.
Roman Experience Day
In Year 3, we have been able to borrow Roman artefacts from a local museum. The children were able to wear the different the Roman clothing, practice writing on the Roman writing board and discuss why Caesar put his face on all of the Roman coins.
