In the Autumn we wrote our own poems based upon a photograph for a Competition that Fulwood Academy were running. We spent a lot of time thinking about the language to use within our poems and we were sure to include as many poetic techniques as possible.
Out of all the primary schools in Fulwood, one of our pupils in Year 5 won the competition. Their prize was a £50 Amazon voucher.
Using our understanding of a pivot (that we gained from our netball lessons in PE) we used fixed and moving pivots to control our mechanisms. After exploring a few, we will be deciding which to use in our Christmas card design.
After reading about Spencer Silver we wrote about his scientific knowledge and impact upon our world. We linked this to our own learning within our unit of materials.
Using our reading research, what have we learnt about the Nile, how to Egyptians used it’s water and the impact of the river upon daily life.
