Diwali
Festival of Lights
Today, we learnt about Diwali. We learnt about Diwali meant, when it is celebrated and why it is celebrated. We learnt to tell the story of Rama and Sita, made Diya lamps and Diwali celebration cards to experience the excitement of Hindus at Diwali. We heard about how two of our class mates prepare for Diwali and we then compared Diwali celebrations to the celebration of Christmas.
Harvest
Baked beans
We were so pleased to be able to serve God during this harvest time. We offered our donations of non-perishable foods that will be taken to a local food bank at The Salvation Army.
