Online Safety

Linking to our curriculum intent the children have had the opportunity today to further develop their skills and confidence through choosing methods of recording. They have used the outdoor learning provision to create a rap based on an element of online safety. Through this each group nominated a leader. The sessions have required a lot of open discussion, questioning of their own self belief and independent thinking.
Today we have had an online safety day. Our focus in Year 4 was how to stay safe online, never to give out personal information and what types of images should we be sharing online. We talked about the dangers of sharing personal information and taking inappropriate images to share online. We have used several age appropriate child friendly resources. The NSPCC 'Lets keep kids safe online'. Lesson one Alex and lesson 2 Lucy. We also used a selection of story books.

Some book titles you may find interesting to read again with your child.

We hope you like the selection of our learning? We have all made our own choices as to how we present and show our understanding.
To finish our day today we have spent time putting a rap together about the elements of safety we have been looking at. We hope you like?
