Leading in Teams

The children worked in teams to create  'shoe box habitat', to replicate a habitat for their chosen sea creature. They had to consider what and how a habitat provides for their sea creature, and how their sea creature is adapted to their habitat. A child from each group led the task. The children had to use their prior research to add facts and information to their habitats.

The children have been working in teams to create dance sequences looking at different levels for movement. We have been linking our dances to the movements of the sea and linking this to a scene from our class book 'The Snail and the Whale'. Each group has a leader who helped support the group in planning and learning dance moves.

The children have been working to develop these sequences further by thinking about how they can transition between movements to make the sequence flow.
The children worked in teams to create a 4 beat rhythm using body percussions. The children then use this rhythm to add to the song 'The Big Ship Sails on the Ally Ally O'. There was a leader in each team to ensure each group stayed on track, and that each member participated equally. To see more on this click on the below link.
