PNE Tour

Year 6 visited Preston North End Football Club on 19th March. The pupils were shown the players' dressing rooms, the referee's room, the press arrangements, famous teams of the past, and stood at the top of the Alan Kelly stand! The children really enjoyed their visit to our local football club.

One pupil said, " I really enjoyed looking at the dressing rooms and banging the drum at the top of the stairs."

Another pupil "The stairs were really high and I could see the whole stadium."

Snooker trip

" We explored how the Maya lived their lives, what they ate and drank. Then compared it with how the Spanish lived their lives. I enjoyed how we were able to discuss how the Maya disappeared. It was a great topic because I had never really researched in to that area before." J.C

Exploring Blackpool

The children were asked how their day was in Blackpool, here are some of the really positive responses:

‘I had an amazing time watching the Blackpool circus, the clown was really funny'

'It was really good because we got to be independent and take pictures on the glass floor at the top of the tower'

Fulwood walk

The walk around Fulwood was a cross-curricular, for both geography and Young Leaders Award. The children were exploring their local area to see what they could change to make it better. The children plotted their route on a map and inserted map symbols.
