During this half term we will be look at the artist Leonardo Da Vinci. We are going to be looking at his different styles of art and the different mediums he has used. We will be linking our art work to our science, focusing on Leonardo Da Vinci's anatomy work/ sketches.

We are practising our pencil skills, and beginning to understand that we can use pencils to create different shade and tone.

We took inspiration from Leonardo Da Vinci's interest in nature and went outside to find an object to draw. Each child chose their own object and was encouraged to create an observational drawing including as much detail as possible. The children even used magnifying glasses to help them pick up on detail they missed when first looking at their object.

The children used pencil to create their sketches.
