In PSHE we have been looking at the different types of relationships we have, and beginning to understand the consequences of negative behaviours. The children were able to comment and discuss during class on all the ways in which they can be good friends to each other, and how they can be kind and considerate to each other.
We looked at the consequences of racism, bullying and aggressive behaviour, and again the children understood very well how this type of behaviour can affect people, especially within their friendship groups. The children worked in small groups acting out situations of positive and negative behaviour. They were able to suggest ways of 'making things better' especially when it involved arguments and falling out with their friends.
The children gave compliments to one another, and talked about how this made them feel. They designed 'recipes for good friends' and leaflets on how to be a good friend to one another.
Here are some photos of our work.
