RE with Enrichment

Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about who has authority. We also learned about transfiguration, which means a change in appearance. We researched the Bible and found an explanation.

The Transfiguration

' After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.'

Easter

 

Betrayal and Trust.

Over the week we have been reading and discussing the Easter story. Although we understand the Easter story we have been learning about the key words of betrayal and trust. We talked about how Judas betrayed Jesus and wrote a job description for a good friend. That is the opposite to Judas. (GL)

 

We wrote the Easter story defining where the betrayal and trust was and how that affected Jesus. (CH)

 

We looked at differing pieces of artwork and identified where the betrayal happened. Then we thought about a Bible story and designed our own piece of artwork to show what betrayal meant. (FS)

 

Today we watched a clip of Peter when he denied Jesus. After that we went into the reflection area and discussed the feelings of Peter. When we came in we wrote a diary entry as Peter reflecting upon his actions on that day. (NC)

Today we all had the same resources and we were set the challenge of creating an Easter Card to resemble what we had been learning about in RE. (CH)
