Practical Learning

The children have been creating sculptures using Clay. The children have linked their sculptures to their science/ PSHE work as they have been learning about maintaining a balanced healthy lifestyle and diet. The children have created pirate menus to ensure a pirate can have a healthy balanced diet whilst at sea. We have considered what foods will last for a long time when out at sea.

 

The children used this as their inspiration for their sculptures and sculptured healthy meal plates with a pirate theme. Prior to creating our art work we worked to appraise different sculptures and also carefully designed our sculptures considering the different techniques they would need to use to create desired effects.  The
