PE Tennis

This week we have started to be taught tennis by a tennis coach. Her name is Angela and she taught us skills to develop our hand eye coordination. Our teachers watched for children, who could control the ball and racket well and they got to use the red rackets. At the end of the session four children were chosen because they had shown excellent control and were given a certificate.

This was our second session by our tennis coach Angela. Today we learnt about the starting point being on the base line. We continued to develop our skills in hand eye ball coordination. We played Kings and Queens, we needed to be able to serve and volley to our opponent.

Week Three tennis: this week we were learning about using our lazy side of our bodies using our forearms. We played games throwing and catching in a rainbow shape using our weaker side. Then be played a rally of the net using our weaker side. It was far more difficult to hit the ball this way, we did nor seem to have the same accuracy or control.
