In computing we have been looking at coding an creating our own algorithms. Moving on, we had to look at 'debugging' and that is when we realised where the instructions ( or algorithms ) needed to be changed slightly. We related real life instructions to those given in coding and where possible gaps seemed to be.

We watched a BBC clip about making a milkshake to show where debugging is necessary.

Hockey training

All the children in Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed the new experiences and hockey skills.

Children worked together in pairs and as part of a team.

'I really enjoyed controlling the hockey stick' Stan

'I was really pleased that I was man of the match' Finlay

'It was lots of fun and I could play hockey. I surprised myself' Jonathan

During our visit to Cuerden Valley, we worked together in teams to build a raft. The rafts were all entered into a race so everyone wanted to win!
