David and the Psalms

As part of our RE topic we studied inspirational people and how they were able to use perseverance as a means of making a difference to others. We created a power point about Elizabeth Fry. We hope you like it?

Elizabeth Fry and links to Bible stories

We looked at inspirational people and how they had had to fight for them to be seen as equals. We then took on the role as one of the inspirational people and then sent God a text message, explaining about the difficulties we faced and how through the support of God we overcame the difficulties, using skills like perseverance and trust.

This week we have looked at how we draw faith from stories in the Bible and develop belief, perseverance, endurance and why equality is important. The children have researched Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Jesse Owens and Elizabeth Fry. The then sent a text message to God explaining about how their belief and understanding of Bible stories had helped them.
Today we listened to harp music like David when he wrote his Psalms. We then wrote our own Psalms, which we are having published into a book. if you have time pop in and look at our book.
